Come and discover the fascinating world of dye plants with Atelier Arpente! At my workshop in the center of Clermont-Ferrand, come and learn more about dye plants, how to pick them, transform them and apply them to supports, creating your own designs using screen printing. I organize group workshops on fixed dates, but don't hesitate to contact me if you have any specific requests.
From plant to motif /3h
Discover the magic of dye plants and screen printing in a condensed 3-hour workshop. Make inks from dried plants, create a design of your choice and screen-print it on fabric.
Process : 3h / 4 places/ 50€ per person
30 minutes theory on dye plants, screen printing and tour of the workshop / 1h cooking inks from plants / 30 min design / 1h printing (cut paper technique). All materials are provided, and participants can take their creations home with them!

From harvest to motif /5h
Discover the creative process from A to Z! Make inks from wild plants picked near the workshop (depending on the season), create a design of your choice and print it on fabric.

Gourmet and creative picking day in the Auvergne volcanoes
Discover wild edible and dye plants and their uses. Florence Sémiond and Zélie Sagot, mother and daughter with a passion for local flora, invite you to a day of gourmet and creative botany. Mother is a mountain guide and geographer; daughter is a designer, dyer and screen printer under the name Atelier Arpente. Along the way, we'll learn how to look at, identify and pick the plants that surround us, prepare them for gourmet tasting over a meal, transform them into inks and make wild and colorful objects using silk-screen printing... An invitation to discover the fascinating world of plants, in the context of sustainable harvesting.

Workshops (except full-day) take place in my studio in the center of Clermont-Ferrand, in small groups of 4 people maximum. Registration is on an individual basis, and the price is per person. Are you coming as a group of 2 or 3? Indicate it in the form below to benefit from a small 10% discount! Are you 4 people or more? Contact me so that we can find a date just for you, and so that you can benefit from a group rate! The workshop is aimed at teenagers and adults for technical skills reasons.
