Workshop

I work with a wide range of training courses and audiences to raise awareness of the many potential uses and applications of dye plants.

Arts and crafts students workshop

Formats are defined according to the educational needs of the section, the time available for the project, and the resources available in the place. Content can be oriented towards exploratory and plastic renderings and/or applications on objects or uses. The whole project is part of a process of understanding by doing and eco-design issues around color in the design process. Drawing on my experience as a design degree teacher, I'll be able to build a dynamic program in line with the needs of the section. Dye plants and their applications are versatile!

Exemples :

Vernacular graphics: Graphic surveys of a place and harvesting, making inks from harvested plants, silk-screen printing on various media to be defined according to demand or educational needs (posters, flags, fanzines, etc.).

Vernacular object design : Graphic surveys of a place and gathering, making inks from harvested plants, gathering materials. Manufacture of small wooden objects.

Design Textil : Up-cycling of textiles or clothing, using local dye resources (accessories, costumes, banners, etc.), introduction to vegetable dyeing and screen printing.

Workshop(s) for young audiences

To promote the potential of dye plants to a variety of audiences, we can work with you to design a workshop or cycle of workshops tailored to your audience and your needs! The many uses and applications of these plants make it possible, for example, to create a workshop for young people in a school or recreational setting. Example: dyeing a textile banner or flag using local plants or kitchen scraps, making paint and drawing using plant inks, ....
